Public Holidays in China: Notice – October 1–8, 2025

Our China office will be closed from October 1–8 for the Golden Week holiday. Production and communication with manufacturers will be suspended.

Dear clients and partners,

We would like to inform you that our office in China, as well as most of our partner manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics collaborators, will be closed from October 1 to 8, 2025. This period marks the national holidays known as the Golden Week, during which regular activities in production, administration, and services across the country are suspended.

We believe this information is important for planning orders, production schedules, and deliveries. Since key communication with manufacturers will be temporarily unavailable, our company will not be able to carry out production or logistics activities. Below we provide a detailed overview of what this means for your current and planned orders, the possible impact on deadlines, and the steps we recommend to help minimize delays together.

Why is everything closed?

Golden Week is one of the most important national holidays in the People’s Republic of China. During this period, employees take annual leave, factories temporarily halt production, and administrative services operate on a limited basis or not at all. Because of the length of the holiday, normal production and business activities are largely reduced.

How does this directly affect our services?

  • Production: Orders in production may be temporarily suspended until factories resume operations. Expect shifts in production completion timelines.
  • Communication: Direct communication with manufacturers, negotiations, and confirmations will not be possible during the holiday. This means we cannot accept changes or urgent modifications that require manufacturer approval.
  • Logistics: Shipping from factories usually slows down — although some warehouses and courier services may operate at reduced capacity, most export-related processes will be limited.
  • Inspections and QC (Quality Control): If factory inspections are planned during this period, they will need to be rescheduled because inspectors and factory staff will not be available.

Mid-Autumn Festival and Golden Week – combined holidays in 2025

Typically, the Mid-Autumn Festival (also known as the Moon Festival) is a traditional holiday in China celebrated in mid-autumn, on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, and lasts for one day.

Golden Week is the national holiday period for China’s National Day, which begins every year on October 1 and lasts for seven days. During this time, almost the entire country takes collective leave and production stops.

In 2025, these two holidays coincide because the Mid-Autumn Festival falls on October 6, in the middle of Golden Week. As a result, the holiday period this year is extended and lasts from October 1 to 8, 2025.

For our clients and partners, this means that during this period it will not be possible to communicate with manufacturers or most logistics providers. We recommend finalizing all important arrangements in advance so we can resume work without disruption after the holidays.

However, our local office will be available for limited support via email and for planning that does not require immediate manufacturer confirmation. Please expect slower response times during the holiday period as we will also be operating at reduced capacity.

Recommended actions for customers and partners

If you have an order in progress or are planning new cooperation, we recommend the following steps to minimize delays:

  • Confirm all urgent requests before September 30, 2025. If you want something prioritized, please notify us as early as possible so we can finalize arrangements with manufacturers before the closure.
  • Check the status of your orders: We will send updated reports on all active orders before the start of the holiday.
  • Plan for delays: Allow for an additional 7–14 days of potential delays in delivery schedules after factories resume work.
  • Documentation and customs: If documentation depending on our team in China (e.g., signed certificates) is required, please submit requests early so we can process them before the holiday.

How we will proceed immediately after the holidays

When factories and suppliers resume work on October 9, 2025, our priorities will be:

  1. Reactivation of all suspended production orders.
  2. Immediate handling of tasks that required physical confirmation.
  3. Priority processing of orders with agreed urgent status (if previously announced).
  4. Sending detailed updates to clients about the newly expected timelines.

Contact during the holiday

During the holiday, standard channels (direct contact with factories, local agents) will not be operational. However, you can reach us via email or messages through the following channels — please note that responses will be limited and likely delayed:

  • Email: contact us
  • Urgent cases: please mark your message subject as “URGENT – Golden Week” so we can identify priority requests

What to expect in the coming days

To maintain transparency, we will send all clients with active orders an updated status and estimated new timelines no later than September 30, 2025. If you do not receive a notification, please contact us, as we will prioritize communication with those who have urgent needs.

Conclusion

We appreciate your understanding and patience. Golden Week is an important period for workers and industry in China, and the temporary closure has a short-term impact on production and logistics. Our company will do everything in our power to minimize delays and, as soon as operations resume, fulfill all obligations. If you are planning future projects or orders, we recommend taking this holiday period into account when setting your schedules to avoid unwanted disruptions.

Thank you for your trust.

If you have questions, please contact us — we will respond as soon as possible.
