  • Belgrade and Shanghai Connected by a New Flight Route: Everything You Need to Know

    Direct flights between Shanghai and Belgrade
    The national airline, Air Serbia, will establish direct flights between Belgrade and Shanghai (Shanghai Pudong Airport, PVG) in the People's Republic of China on January 11.
    Air Serbia has announced the introduction of a new direct flight route connecting Shanghai Pudong International Airport with the Serbian capital, Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade, with flights set to commence on January 11, 2025.
    Flights, which will be operated by Airbus A330 aircraft, are planned twice a week, departing from Belgrade at 00:45 local time every Tuesday and Saturday, while the return from Shanghai will be at 22:25 local time every Wednesday and Sunday.

  • China’s visa-free entry policy

    China’s visa-free entry policy for up to 30 days for select countries.
    China is simplifying entry for a number of foreign nationals.
    Interstate agreements regulate relations between two states, and it has been previously known that Serbia and later Bosnia and Herzegovina have a visa-free regime with China. However, states have the right to conduct their own visa-free policies, meaning they can allow other nationals visa-free entry into their country.

    The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the People's Republic of China on the Abolition of Visas for Holders of Ordinary Passports was signed on November 5, 2016. A visa is not required for stays of up to 30 days from the date of entry into China.
    As of May 29, 2018, holders of valid ordinary passports of the PRC and holders of valid ordinary passports of Bosnia and Herzegovina are exempt from the obligation to obtain a visa for entry, exit, stay, or transit through the territory of the other contracting party.

  • Non-working days in China for 2025

    Year of the Snake
    The General Office of the State Council issued a statement on November 12, 2024, regarding holidays in 2025. Compared to 2024, the number of public holidays for all citizens has been increased by two days, specifically one extra day for Chinese New Year and another for May 1.
    According to the announcement, in 2025, the Spring Festival will have eight days off, the Labor Day holiday will last five days, and National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival have been combined, offering eight days off together.
    According to the Western calendar for 2025, Chinese New Year falls on January 29, 2025, and lasts until February 16, 2026. During this period, the Chinese zodiac marks the start of the Year of the Snake — more specifically, the Year of the Wood Snake.

    Motivated by a recent phone conversation in which we were asked to recommend a reliable seller on Aliexpress, we decided to write this text.

    We actually don’t use Aliexpress simply because it’s not accessible from China – Chinese buyers actually have no way to access this platform. Another caller asked if they should buy an excavator from Alibaba, which was selling for €200.
    We can’t help you if you think this way! Ask yourself – is that even possible?
    But that’s not the reason for writing this text.
    We are writing because, in a relatively short period, we received three emails (from Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia), in which people complain about being scammed in one way or another.
    What all three letters have in common is that the buyers made purchases independently, without involving us.
